Dear Parents/Carers
I hope this finds you well. As we approach Activity Day 2025, I would like to take this opportunity to share some important information regarding this event, which we are committed to making enjoyable and safe for all our pupils.
At our school, we pride ourselves on being inclusive, and it is our goal to ensure that every student has the chance to participate in the activities planned for this special day. Attendance at Activity Day serves as a reward for those students who consistently demonstrate our core values of kindness, ambition, and diligence throughout the academic year.
As in previous years, the structure of the day will consist of activities organised within year teams during the morning, followed by a few hours of unstructured activities in the afternoon to foster a sense of community and enjoyment.
In taking a transparent approach, I must inform you that, following the Easter break, we will actively review and monitor students' behaviour. Those with recurrent uniform infringements, frequent lateness, regular truancy in lessons, and instances necessitating restorative meetings or isolation sanctions, will be at significant risk of not attending Activity Day.
If your child falls into any of these at-risk categories, I kindly ask that you engage in a discussion with them regarding their conduct. It is important that they understand the expectations and take the necessary steps toward improvement.
Your support in fostering a positive school environment is greatly appreciated, and together we can ensure that all students have an opportunity to participate in Activity Day 2025.
Have a restful Easter holiday.
Yours faithfully,
Mrs Limburn
Head of Year 9
