BAE Systems are delighted to announce the Women in Engineering Insight Experience apprenticeship insight event which will run over four days between Monday 27 March - Thursday 6 April 2023 with two sessions online and two sessions on-site at various locations across the UK.
The sessions are taking place over the Easter holiday as we know that this final year is a busy time for students, with many sitting mocks or exams, and we wanted to help enable the attendance of all those who are interested.
The first session, at the end of March and will be virtual so could be completed within school if facilities permit, or from home.
The final session is a (real) job interview which could result in the pupil being offered a place on a Level 3 Advanced Engineering Apprenticeship with a start date of September 2023. This will be the final opportunity to take part in the Insight Experience this academic year.
We would highly recommend that any young woman who has already applied for the apprenticeship via our usual route, also applies for this Engineering Insight Experience. The women who have taken part in the programme to date have experienced great success; of the seven in January’s cohort, six were offered apprenticeships.
Applications are now open but space is limited, so please encourage those students who might be interested (Y11+) to apply here: Women in Craft Engineering at BAE Systems - Insight Experience (smartsurvey.co.uk)
