We are pleased to inform you about two very important activities for our Year 10 students: Mock Interview Day and Work Experience Week. These events are designed to provide valuable real-world experiences and prepare our students for their future careers.
Mock Interview Day
Our Mock Interview Day will take place on Wednesday 22 January 2025.
This event offers students a unique opportunity to practice their interview skills in a formal setting with professionals from various industries. This experience helps build confidence and provides insightful feedback that students can use to improve their performance in real interviews.
Students will prepare for this event during PDL lessons and in Tutor time.
Work Experience Week
Work Experience Week is scheduled for the week commencing 19 May 2025.
During this week, students will gain hands-on experience in a field of their interest. This exposure to the workplace allows students to explore potential career paths, develop new skills, and understand the day-to-day operations of different professions.
More detailed information about Work Experience will follow shortly.
Further Careers Activities
Throughout the coming year, students will also undertake additional careers activities and attend careers presentations. These events are designed to provide continuous support and guidance as they explore various career options and post-16 pathways and develop their skills.
We believe these activities are invaluable in helping our students make informed decisions about their future careers. We encourage you to support and discuss these experiences with your child, as your involvement plays a crucial role in their career development.
