Ski Trip 2024 - Day Five: Glove is in the air

Well day five proved to be an absolutely beautiful one with lots of scenic photo opportunities. Sun screen and lots of lip balm was applied this morning with a slightly earlier start than the previous three days.

We all travelled to the same slope at Edelweiss to begin our day and some group photos were taken before we left to go our separate ways up the lifts.

The conditions were absolutely perfect for skiing and we soon found lots of new runs to practice on. During our adventures we stumbled across a monument dedicated to the 1965 Beatles film, Help!

Another lunch at an authentic alpine restaurant and an opportunity to have a rest and drink was met with picture perfect views.

Our afternoon was a little shorter than our first three days as we needed to head back to our hotel for an early dinner but again, we saw many of our groups venturing further and further up the mountains to attempt some blue and red runs.

The reason we needed to have an early dinner this afternoon was so that we left enough time so that we could make our way to Zell Am See to see an ice hockey match between Zell Am See New Stars & Zell Am See All Stars.

The match was so exciting and packed full of action. The match was attended by thousands of UK school children and the atmosphere was electric. It was a great experience which saw the All Stars come out on top, winning 8-4.

What a great way to end the day. Off to bed now before our final full day of skiing.

Goodnight!
