Please see a flyer attached giving details of the programme being run at Crofton School
The Holiday Activity and Food (HAF) programme is funded by the Department for Education so that local authorities can offer healthy food and enriching activities in the school holidays to children who receive income-based free school meals during term time. A small number of places are also available on HAF schemes for other vulnerable families.
There are 132 sites delivering activities across the whole of Hampshire over the spring / Easter holiday period. Schools, childcare providers, community groups and sports activity providers are amongst those delivering schemes. We are now inviting families to book their free school holiday clubs over the upcoming holiday period. We would like schools' help in encouraging as many eligible families as possible to take part.
We know that demand will be high so if provision is booked up at a given venue we are encouraging families to check other local alternatives and / or leave their details on a waiting list as there are frequently cancellations.
We have also attached letters from HAF for the Fareham & Gosport area giving details of the other local alternatives.
