Dear Parents/Guardians,
Just a reminder that Crofton School will be hosting a Year 10 Mock Interview Day on Wednesday 22 January 2025. This event is a valuable opportunity for our students to engage in mock interviews with professionals from various business and educational backgrounds.
All of our Year 10 students have been informed during an assembly about this upcoming event and have been asked to prepare an application form for a job of their choice.
The Mock Interview Day is a significant part of our commitment to providing a well-rounded education that prepares our students for future challenges and opportunities.
Here are some key benefits that your child will gain from participating in this event:
Real-World Experience: The interviews will be conducted by professionals who bring real-world insights and experiences. This exposure will help students understand the expectations of the professional world and enhance their readiness for future job interviews.
Skills Development: Mock interviews provide a platform for students to refine their communication and interpersonal skills. Constructive feedback from interviewers will guide them in improving their interview techniques and overall presentation.
Confidence Building: Facing interviews in a simulated environment helps build confidence. By practicing in a supportive setting, students can overcome nervousness and develop the self-assurance needed for successful interviews in the future.
Networking Opportunities: The event provides a unique chance for students to network with professionals. These connections may prove valuable as they progress through their education and enter the workforce.
Students will spend time in PDL beforehand, reviewing common interview questions and practicing their responses.
We encourage you to discuss the Mock Interview Day with your child, emphasising the importance of active participation.
Please also note that students have been asked to attend school on Mock Interview Day in non-uniform and dressed in smart/professional attire.
